Catnip Design was founded in Melbourne, Australia by graphic designer Tammy Hocking in October, 2002. Being a lover of cats and having lost her beloved kitty of 16 years in June that year, she came up with “Catnip” as a nod to her feline childhood companion. Realising that there was a real need for a design studio with a friendlier approach, she set out to create a studio that offered the highest quality design, as well as a reputation for treating all clients with warmth, attentiveness and respect. Her pursuit was successful, having garnered the affections of many grateful clients over the years. Aside from design, Tammy is passionate about music, animation, and the paranormal (she survived an overnight investigation at the Old Melbourne Gaol). A native of Melbourne, she now lives in Colorado with her husband Matt, son Ben, and their three cats (to which she's allergic)
